The Caregiver Coaching Program is a professional one-to-one relationship between a coach and a caregiver. Our coaches have a professional background in health or social services, along with personal experience as a caregiver.
Caregiver Coach can help you overcome challenges such as:
- Burn-out/exhaustion
- Balancing your caregiving role
- Finding time for self-care
- Setting boundaries
- Developing communication skills for talking to health care providers and family
- Grief and loss around changes in life or caregiving, or end of life care
- Financial concerns
- Future care-planning
Find out if you qualify
For caregivers to access the coaching program, you must:
- Have telephone or internet access
- Be struggling or feeling stuck within a caregiving role, having difficulty managing stress, or
- feeling burned out
- Demonstrate a sense of readiness to participate in the program
- Acknowledge that the program is not a substitute for counselling or psychotherapy services
